FEATURES AND DESIGN
At a glance, this notebook had it’s own level of stylishness. Being a trademark of Lenovo, this model is made entirely out of plastic, though the paint is glossy and easily scratch-able.
This model has all of its ports on the left side of the chassis – It starts with the dedicated Lenovo charging port, an RJ-45 connector, an HDMI 2.0 port, then two USB Type-A 3.1 (Gen. 1) ports, an audio jack and a USB Type-C 3.1 (Gen. 1) port.
Being a right handed, I actually prefer the common style where at least one USB port to be located at the right side since it would be handy for me to use the wired mouse but for this one, a wireless mouse is highly recommended.
As for the keyboard, it seems like it is made for typing, rather than gaming. Here we got pretty much the same layout as on the regular Ideapad L340 (15″) plus an additional back-light. In terms of comfortability, the keyboard has a good key travel, decent tactile feedback, and large keycaps, which always enhances the experience when typing.
However, I felt like the key buttons seems to be too pack that I often pressed the wrong key and another thing that I dislike is the touch pad seems a lil’ bit “fussy” which it is kinda sensitive for me.
Battery wise, this laptop is kinda a hero for me since it lasted quite well with or without WiFi connection which is strongly suggested for the heavy gamer but, graphic wise, they’re quite a dissatisfaction for me as there are certain part seems blurry to the eyes which to me, much of a distraction.
But, for RM2999 for a gaming laptop, I have to say that it is actually a minor cons compared to the overwhelming performance. If you’re keen to grab this laptop, you can click the link HERE or, you may walk in into our official Brightstar store and test the laptop by yourself.
